Waarom International Baccalaureate?
Dit certificaat staat hoog aangeschreven op nationale en internationale universiteiten. Leerlingen die dit certificaat hebben behaald hoeven vaak geen toelatingstoetsen voor het vak Engels meer te doen wanneer zij in het buitenland willen studeren. Ook kunnen zij voorrang krijgen bij lotingen en/of buitenlandse stages.
What is the difference between the IB Diploma and the DP?
While the IB diploma is a two year program covering the last two years of high school, your school may have additional requirement for graduation beyond those required DP and those will need to be considered by the school.
How are the IB assessments graded?
These assessments are graded by trained IB examiners. External assessments include the written IB exams taken by the student at the end of a DP course, normally in their second year of the Diploma Programme. In some courses, including film, the external assessment is a textual analysis. In visual arts, studio work is assessed.
What are the strengths of the DP?
The strength of the DP is the way in which learning is interconnected across individual subjects. Combined with the core requirements, DP courses are one part the DP’s holistic approach to teaching. However, schools may allow students to selectively complete IB courses and/or sit for individual exams rather than opt to complete the full IB diploma.
How do I get an IB Diploma?
To receive the full IB diploma, students must 1) take three higher level (HL) and three standard level (SL) courses and exams, 2) complete the DP core requirements, and 3) be awarded a minimum total score of 24 out of 45 possible points.
Wat is het verschil tussen vmbo havo vwo en gymnasium?
Het zijn allemaal theoretische richtingen, maar bij het vmbo zijn de opdrachten praktijkgerichter dan op het vwo, de meest ‘abstracte’ richting. Daarnaast verschilt het aantal jaar dat het programma duurt: vmbo vier jaar, havo vijf jaar en vwo zes jaar.
