Wat is het verschil tussen SegWit en native SegWit?
SegWit is een geavanceerde vorm van ‘de blockchain’, waardoor transacties sneller en goedkoper zijn geworden. Native Segwit is daar weer een opvolger van en is daardoor nog sneller. Transacties kunnen plaatsvinden tussen Legacy, Segwit en Native Segwit.

Een bitcoinadres, ook wel een “public ad- dress” (openbaar adres) genoemd, bestaat uit 25-36 alfanumerieke en hoofdletterge- voelige karakters en begint met een één (1) of een drie (3). Deze adressen versturen en ontvangen bitcoins.

SegWit staat voor Segregated Witness en verkleint de grootte van de transactiedata waardoor de transacties sneller gaan, er een hogere mate van schaalbaarheid is en de transactiekosten omlaag gaan. De Native SegWit slaagt er nog beter in om dit voor elkaar te krijgen waardoor de transactiekosten nog lager liggen.
