Wat is een boa?
Een buitengewoon opsporingsambtenaar (boa) is een ambtenaar met een specifieke opsporingsbevoegdheid. Dat houdt onder andere in dat hij/zij mag onderzoeken of er bepaalde strafbare feiten zijn gepleegd. Boa’s mogen verdachten aanhouden, iemands identiteit controleren, processen-verbaal opmaken en boetes uitschrijven.
Kan iedereen BOA worden?
Iedere boa moet een basisopleiding volgen en als hij/zij slaagt voor het basisexamen, ontvangt hij/zij een boa-getuigschrift. De basisopleiding is om algemene kennis op te doen van het recht en specifieke kennis van verschillende strafbare feiten, straffen en procedurele regels in het strafrecht.

Where do Boas come from?
These boas are from the mountains of southwest Tamaulipas, Mexico at an altitude of +-1000 meters. The area is cloud forest and tropical deciduous forest with winter being the dry season. I beleive that this new race of boa will rival any other Mexican race ( or even Central American race ) in color & beauty.
