Wat eten watertor?
Geelgerande watertorren zijn gevaarlijke rovers die hun prooi met de voorpoten vastgrijpen en nooit meer loslaten. Wormen, kikkervisjes, visjes en insecten worden met hun kaken fijngekauwd. Uit grote vissen worden hele happen gescheurd. Als er weinig voedsel is, worden soortgenoten op het menu gezet.
Wat te doen tegen torren in huis?
Bij bestrijding is het belangrijk om de bron op te sporen om zo doelgericht te kunnen bestrijden. Bij een plaag van meeltorren kunt u gebruik maken van spuitbus tegen insecten, een zogenaamde insecticiden spuitbus. U kunt dan de naden en kieren waar ze langs komen behandelen.
Wat eet de Waterkever?
Hij valt vrijwel alles aan dat zich beweegt in zijn omgeving. Het menu bestaat uit insecten, kikkervisjes, kikkers en salamanders en ook vissen tot zelfs een groter formaat dan de larve zelf! Het schrijvertje, ook wel draaikever genoemd, komt vrij algemeen in Nederland en België voor.

The same applies to Salmon, the Leven is a fairly short river at six miles long. Part of the reason for its success, is that every fish has to go through the Leven in order to get to the Loch and the spawning rivers. Throughout the Summer and Autumn the whole river provides excellent fishing.
