Hoe werkt track and trace?

Wat is Track en Trace? Als iemand een pakket stuurt, dan staat op het verzendbewijs een code. Dit is de zogenaamde Track & Trace-code, ook wel het zendingsnummer genoemd. Met deze code kunnen verzender en ontvanger het pakket via internet volgen.

Hoe traceer je je pakket?

Pakket of aangetekende brief volgen (met track & trace)

1. Zorg dat je de barcode van de zending bij de hand hebt. Je vindt die code op het verzendbewijs of bijvoorbeeld in de e-mail van de online winkel waar je een aankoop hebt gedaan.
2. Vul de barcode in.
3. Vul de postcode van de ontvanger in.
4. Klik op ‘Zoeken’.

Wat als track en trace niet werkt?

Het kan 24 uur duren voordat een track & trace code geactiveerd wordt. Dit is afhankelijk van de snelheid van de betreffende vervoerder. Dit betekent dat de track & trace code waarschijnlijk nog niet geactiveerd is op het moment dat u deze ontvangt. Dit gebeurt vaak laat op de avond of de volgende ochtend.

Op track & trace (ook beschikbaar in de PostNL-app) vind je altijd de laatste informatie over je pakket. Vul de track & trace-code (barcode of ‘niet-thuis code’) en de postcode van de ontvanger in, en je ziet direct wanneer we je pakket bezorgen.
