Wat doet Cimzia?
Certolizumab remt in het lichaam het eiwit tumor necrose factor TNF-alfa, dat ontstaat bij ontstekingen zoals bij psoriasis. Hierdoor vermindert de ontsteking en wordt de psoriasis afgeremd.
Waar wordt Humira voor gebruikt?
Adalimumab onderdrukt de lichaamsafweer en remt ontstekingen. Bij gewrichtsontstekingen (reuma, ziekte van Bechterew), darmontstekingen (ziekte van Crohn, colitis ulcerosa), de huidziekten psoriasis en hidradenitis. Verder bij de oogziekte uveïtis en soms bij sarcoïdose (ziekte van Besnier-Boeck).
