Hoe komt Perkamentus aan de Zegevlier?
Voldemort komt erachter dat Perkamentus in het bezit was van de Zegevlier. Hij breekt de tombe waarin Perkamentus ligt begraven, open om de stok te stelen. De stok uit bij hem echter geen speciale toverkracht.
Waarom was de Zegevlier van Harry?
Harry merkte pas later dat hij meester van de Zegevlier was geworden omdat Draco niet bewust was geweest van het feit dat hij meester was van de machtigste stok op aarde. Harry versloeg Draco (die wel nog zijn oude stok had) in Villa Malfidus en werd dus zonder dat hij het wist eigenaar van de Zegevlier.
