Hoe coquille eten?
U kunt ze op alle manieren bereiden; bakken, grillen, stoven. Goede verse coquilles zijn zelfs rauw te eten. De vangstmethode is sterk bepalend voor de kwaliteit. Gesleepte coquilles zijn met een sleepnet van de bodem geschraapt.
Hoeveel gram coquilles per persoon?
Met drie coquilles per persoon heb je een perfecte basis voor een heerlijk voorgerecht. Sint-jakobsvruchten vind je reeds gekuist in de supermarkt, of kan je in zijn geheel bestellen bij de visboer.
Waar kan ik coquilles kopen?
Het beste kun je naar de visboer gaan of naar de viskraam op de markt. Ook (horeca)groothandels hebben vaak goede coquilles. Die in de supermarkt zijn vaak minder vers.
Wat zit er in coquilles?
Coquilles oftewel sint jakobsschelpen! Heel laag in calorieën maar je zit er snel vol van. Schaal- en schelpdieren zijn net als vis over het algemeen rijk aan de vitamine B12 en de mineralen jodium, fosfor en seleen.

What do coquis eat?
